Introduction
HTH is one of the Nordic region’s most prominent kitchen brands and offers complete kitchen
solutions for both consumers and professional customers.
In this case, HTH has decided to enter the English market by opening an HTH Kitchen store (B2C)
and an HTH showroom (B2B) in London, but before this can take place, a lot of aspects and
material must be analyzed and produced.
You must now imagine yourself as an employee working for HTH / Nobia AB, and every assignment
will put you in a situation or location within HTH.

Assignment no.1: Company profile
Congratulations! You have successfully finished your studies at Tradium, and have been offered an
apprenticeship within HTH.
Your team leader appreciates your excellent English skills, and as a result, has invited you to
Nobia’s headquarters in Stockholm, where your assignment will be to make a presentation of HTH
for other apprentices within HTH in English.
For the exam:

Make a presentation of HTH.
Your presentation should include the following:
o The history of the company
o Products
o Target groups
o Image and brand
o Other subjects that you find relevant
At the exam:

Present your HTH company profile.


Assignment no.2: Magazine ad
You are working in the marketing department of the HTH headquarters in Ølgod. In the progress
of opening a new store in London, you want to place the ad “The Most Important Room in Your
Life” in one of the English magazines.
(Note: Just leave the ad in Danish – no need to change it.)

Assignment no.3: Commercial correspondence - Enquiry and Order
HTH co-operates with, among others, the German company Bosch on household appliances. Your
team leader would like you to correspond with Bosch about dishwashers in English.
For the exam:

Write an enquiry

Write an order
At the exam:

Present both the enquiry and the order.

Be prepared to answer questions about commercial correspondence / business letters in
general.

The HTH kitchen stores are daily visited by many different customers. One day an English-speaking
customer comes into the store to look for a new kitchen for her summer cottage.

Assignment no.5: Code of Conduct
You are having a private dinner with your family, and your Aunt Mary is very concerned about the
working environment within HTH.
You know that HTH has a Code of Conduct based on statements and guidelines from OECD, ILO
and the UN, so you decide to explain this to your Aunt Mary.
For the exam:

Make a presentation of HTH’s Code of Conduct. Find 3 subjects that you find most
important.

Consider and comment on why companies have Codes of Conduct.


