This will include accounting functions, fundraising and the management and development of the organisations financial systems. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The role will encompass all of the following responsibilities and duties, with specific objectives and targets set in accordance with the part time hours of the post. The nature of the job will require the post holder to be flexible in the number of hours worked and the days this will involve. The post holder will therefore be contracted to 1092 annualised hours (21 hours per week x 52 weeks per year) per annum, less holiday entitlement and statutory holidays. All hours of work will be calculated at ‘single time’. To be responsible for the financial management of the organisation. To keep and maintain financial records and systems in accordance with the Charity Commission and Companies House requirements, making appropriate submissions when required. To maintain income and expenditure accounts and make specific returns to funding agencies as required. To monitor all bank and cash accounts including cash flow monitoring, inter account transactions and banking reconciliations. To have overall responsibility for payroll including all associated record keeping, statutory payments and annual returns. To proactively contribute to strategic, budgetary planning, including forecasting, risk management, management accounts and reports for board members. To assist in the preparation of annual audit and work in accordance with the requirements of the auditors including the preparation of annual statutory accounts. To make recommendations for the fundraising activities of the organisation which increase take up of charged for services. To work closely with the Honorary Treasurer when required, regarding the financial governance of the organisation. To work closely with the Chief Executive to monitor the progress of projects and evaluate achievements, including the development of business and financial planning.
