Guru Rinpoche statue FINAL STAGE Phase 2 Construction Still Requires $220,000 In our last newsletter we sought 100 benefactors to each donate $2,800 to fund the second phase steel construction. Unfortunately we did not reach our goal. We did however gain the support of some precious benefactors who have helped us to fund over $60,000 for shear walls. Many thanks to these benefactors who include Venerable Yeshe Chodron (India), John Waite, Therese Bottomley, Brian Ashen and Judith-Ann Robertson, Ms Mary Song and Kam Saraswati. SYMBOLS OF COMPASSION ART EXHIBIT Rejoice! The Guru Rinpoche statue was consecrated by His Holiness on June 7th. While the statue is fully funded, a further $5000 is required to build the house around the statue and to construct the throne. All donations are welcome. Many thanks to the many donors to date, especially the major benefactors Dianne Jack, Florence Chew, Lien Quach and Huang Chun Roo’s friends in Taiwan.
