Greater China (PRC, Taiwan,
Hong Kong and Macau).

The Department of Electronic and Computer
Engineering (ECE) of HKUST has allocated a number of
postgraduate scholarships to encourage international
students from outside Greater China to study in Hong
Kong. These merit-based scholarships, in amount of
about US$19,000 each, are granted at the time of
admission for a period of one year. They entail no
additional duties, allowing grantees the freedom to
concentrate their efforts on studies and research.
Philosophy degrees are eligible to
apply. The Department also
offers financial assistance in the
form of Teaching Assistantship
and Research Assistantship to
qualified students.
