Working independently dating back to the early 1980s, a formal team arrangement was made in 1996 to enhance our ability to offer personalized advice and guidance. Fast forward to 2014, and The 712 Investment Group is now entrusted with approximately $2.76 billion in client balances* for three segments of clients: 1.Families and Individuals (multigenerational families, corporate executives and small business owners) 2.Foundations and Endowments (public and private) 3.Retirement Plan Services (qualified and nonqualified plans for medium/small businesses and the self-employed) Our goal is to guide you in developing investment strategies for the many life scenarios you may face: retirement income planning, education, borrowing, philanthropy or wealth transfer issues. To deliver on our goal, we have combined the intimacy of a small boutique-like office with the investment insights of Merrill Lynch and the banking convenience of Bank of America. We are 100% referral-based and do not prospect for new clients. We believe the growth of our business is directly correlated to the satisfaction of existing clients. This allows us to dedicate all of our time to maintaining and deepening existing relationships. As part of this commitment to personalized attention, we now have offices strategically located in New York City and San Francisco. *Client balances are as of May 2015. The 712 Investment Group, San Francisco 3 Your Future Begins With a Conversation Each client is different. We build every relationship by exploring your aspirations for your lifestyle today and in the years to come. By starting with a deep understanding of the moving parts of your financial life, we believe we will be in a better position to help you develop a wealth management strategy uniquely tailored to your circumstances. We begin by listening to you. We want to know about all the concerns that can affect your family and finances in the coming months and years. Then we ask questions and present “what if” scenarios. Most clients have considerations that go beyond simple risk and reward with their investments. We take an overview of your entire financial life, from your wealth transfer plans to your income and total assets, to develop insightful suggestions free of emotion and tailored to your goals, time horizon, liquidity needs and risk tolerance. Wealth management is a collaborative effort, and at your request, we can work side by side with your legal, tax and other professional advisors to guide you in coordinating strategies designed to help secure your legacy for future generations. The tailored strategies we offer include a wide range of financial services: ■■ Investment and retirement income planning services ■■ Estate planning services and wealth transfer strategies ■■ Philanthropic and charitable giving strategies ■■ Education funding strategies ■■ Access, through Bank of America, to banking and lending services and to help with trusts ■■ Insurance and annuity review Most importantly, we will periodically evaluate your current investments in relation to your original goals and identify any new objectives you may have. 4 Flexible Strategies for Helping You Manage Wealth We have the flexibility to search both within and beyond the bounds of Merrill Lynch to bring you an expansive range of strategies to help address your wealth management needs. We understand that meeting your long-term goals means your strategies may have to evolve in line with the changes in your lifestyle and family needs, without being distracted by short-term market phases. Whether complementing your existing portfolio or building a brand new one, we can recommend a variety of investment vehicles, including a wide array of third-party providers. In addition, you can delegate to John O’Neill , Jr., investment management responsibilities for your portfolios, meaning that John has discretion over certain investment decisions surrounding your investment strategy. Once we have confirmed your goals and life priorities, as well as identified your portfolio investment objective, time horizon, risk factor and liquidity needs, we will recommend targeted asset allocations for your portfolios to help meet your specific investment objectives. Granting John authority allows him to respond to market changes, price volatility and global events with the ability to make adjustments, if needed, to help your portfolio stay on track to meet your goals. To help you monitor and assess performance, we will regularly review your portfolio with you, and you will receive periodic communications, including monthly statements, quarterly portfolio summary updates and annual performance reports. “Experience is something built over the years.
