Of those 29 students, 23 (79%) scored an A (90-100%), 4 (14%) scored a B (80-89%, one (3%) scored a C (75%) and one (3%) scored a D (60%). For those scoring lower than an A, the most mistakes were made in the recommendation section. To help students achieve this analysis and recommendation, the instructor could show examples (and non-examples) (with student names removed) of recommendations for additions or deletions to the intake. 05/21/2014 - Students in Nutrition 15 choose from a menu of projects. During the Spring, 2014 semester, only 2 students out of 25 chose the Case Study, which provides evidence for SLO#2. One student scored an 87%, and one scored a 67%. Currently, the instructor presents the project and directs the students to MyPlate.gov for independent study. More direct instruction about food groups, including a graphic organizer and student activities is needed.
