Administration of Act
HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the
Legislative Assembly of Alberta, enacts as follows:
Appointment and duties
1 The Lieutenant Governor in Council may appoint a Queen’s
Printer for Alberta, and fix the salary and prescribe the duties
appertaining to the office.

2 The Lieutenant Governor in Council may authorize the
publication not less than twice in each month of an official gazette,
to be called The Alberta Gazette, for the publication of
proclamations, official and other notices and any matters that may
from time to time be required.

Printing of statutes, etc.
3 Subject to the direction of the Minister charged with the
administration of this Act, the Queen’s Printer shall print and
publish or cause to be printed and published the statutes of Alberta,
The Alberta Gazette and any documents and announcements that
may be required from time to time.

Publication of advertisements, etc.
4 Advertisements, notices and documents relating to matters
within the control of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta and that
are required by any law to be published shall be published in The
Alberta Gazette unless some other mode of publication is
prescribed by law.

Conditions of publication, etc. of The Alberta Gazette
5 The Minister charged with the administration of this Act may
make regulations
(a) prescribing the conditions of the publication of The
Alberta Gazette;
(b) designating the public bodies, officers and persons to
whom The Alberta Gazette is to be sent without charge;
(c) prescribing a tariff of charges to be paid for the
publication of notices, advertisements and documents in
The Alberta Gazette;
(d) prescribing the amount of the subscription to The Alberta
Gazette.

Administration of Act
6 The Minister charged with the administration of this Act is the
Minister determined under section 16 of the Government
Organization Act as the Minister responsible for this Act.
