The Theology Program
@ BVC
New session starting
Sunday, January 17
The Theology Program is a 60 week/2 year program
of Christian theology and apologetics created with all
believers in mind. TTP is seminary-level education for
the lay-person! TTP @ BVC will meet Sunday mornings
at 11am at the Carmody Rec Center just South of BVC.
To sign-up for the first ten-week Introduction Course or
for more information please contact Pastor Rich at
rpeterson@bvchurch.org.
Welcome to Bear Valley Church!
Bear Valley Church is a diverse group of people, coming from a variety of
backgrounds and life situations with one thing in common...a heart for
God. We are a people "climbing together the upward trails of life."
Our vision is to help people discover the grace of God for their own lives,
then develop and unleash a community of God-honoring people to use
their gifts, skills and abilities to literally move the world for Christ.
We sum up our vision in three words...Connect, Mature, Unleash.
 Connecting means coming together in God's unity to bless one another and the world.
 Maturing involves courageously stepping beyond our current situation into deeper life in Christ.
 Unleashing means stepping beyond our personal safety zones to
bring peace, life and hope into the world.
Along with uplifting and engaging corporate worship (three services at
three different times) we also have a variety of community groups (midsize classes meeting on Sunday mornings, support and small groups meeting at multiple times throughout the week) to help you connect with others and grow in your faith. Through multi-dimensional ministries and missions you will discover an abundance of opportunities to go, serve, help
and share love with far-reaching impact.
Bear Valley Church is a place where families can connect, mature in faith
and serve through an abundance of unleashed ministry opportunities.
Bear Valley Church Staff
We Believe…
 There is one eternal God, our Creator, who has revealed Himself in three
persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
 Our failure to meet God’s standards separates us from God, but Jesus paid
the price for our sins so that those who believe in Him can be saved.
 Jesus Christ, lived a perfect human life, died for our sins, rose from the
dead, and ascended into heaven from where He will return.
 God the Holy Spirit lives in all believers, enabling them to be more like
Jesus and to serve others.
 The Church is a worshiping, learning, and serving community of believers.
Bear Valley Church is a local expression of that world-wide community. We
participate in two ordinances: baptism of believers and the Lord’s Supper.
 The Bible is God’s inspired Word through which He tells us what to believe
and how to live in today’s world.

encounter Jesus in new ways, and eat some different food.

adults (with teachable spirits) who will work with high school students and
share about Jesus. We’ll be working with our Campus Crusade partners
