Townships hope for provincial funding

endeavour, but it’s certainly worth a

Robinson at the January 17 council
meeting.
According to the Association of
Municipalities of Ontario, there are 445
municipalities in Ontario. So, if each
municipality were given the same
amount, they would receive $157,303.
The projected cost to make
improvements to Stanley House Road in
Seguin Township is $280,000 more than
the $400,000 in funding applied for. The
township plans to improve ditching and
drainage, put a hard surface where
there’s currently gravel, change
intersection sight lines and pave some
hills.
