"Bimla Devi Educational Society, Faridabad" is the promoting Body of
"Bimla Devi Educational Society's Group of Institutions, JB
Knowledge Park, Faridabad"- NCR Haryana. It is registered under the
Society Registration Act 21 of 1860 (and modified by Punjab Modification Act
of 1957) having registration number 106 dated 28th August 2006. It is an

My Dear Students
The "Bimla Devi Educational Society's Group of Institutions" has been established to "Impart
value added education of global standards to help the students work for competitive excellence
and achieve financial freedom".
This helps in an exalted aim to produce ideal members for society; having scientific,
professional knowledge, skills and commanding balanced personalities which others would
like to emulate for the good of all.
The management also ensures that erosion of our cultural heritage does not take place and
sense of awareness of our value system, of unity and diversity, of integrated India and
nationalism takes firm roots.
We expect our students to be self disciplined, honest, caring, considerate, well mannered,
willing to help others, and to become responsible citizens following the constitution of India,
in letter and in spirit and spreading the message of universal brotherhood.

Dear Students
Teaching is a purposeful activity with an ultimate goal of harnessing holistic development of a
student. The knowledge and practice which help in realizing this goal, is the content matter of
teaching methodology at Bimla Devi Educational Society's Group of Institutions.
Educating the students is just not about awarding degrees and certificates. On the contrary it is
making the students professional and employable. We at Bimla Devi Educational Society's
Group of Institutions, better known as JB Knowledge Park, concentrate upon providing an
amalgamation of theoretical as well as practical knowledge. We emphasize upon developing
analytical & communication skills, creativity, leadership, and innovation to make our students
capable of shouldering greater responsibilities. Value added courses have been made an
intrinsic feature of our system to achieve today's customized demands of the corporate world.

FEE : Last date for submission of the prescribed fee for Odd Semester is
10th July of the year. For first semester students, it is admission date.
Last date for submission of the prescribed fee for Even Semester is
10th January of the year. Rs 50/- per day shall be charged as Late Fee
if any one deposits fee after last date as announced.

Computer Labs of the department are well

Department of Mechanical
Engineering
The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers
courses to train the students in the art of servicing,
maintenance and troubleshooting aspects and to
provide analytical skills in various subjects related to
Mechanical Engineering. Basic Mechanical
Engineering Laboratory, Central workshop, Energy
Conversion Lab, SOM Lab, Hydraulics Lab, KOM
Lab, DOM Lab, Fluid Machines Lab, and Drawing
Hall are fully equipped with advanced equipments,
machines and devices.
Department of Electrical
Engineering
The courses offered by the department are to train
students in the art of finding faults, servicing, and
maintenance and to provide sound knowledge to
make them able to analyze, design and lead through
innovative ideas in the subjects of Electrical
Engineering suitable for the current needs of
modern industries and public sectors. Electrical
Technology Lab, Electrical Machine Lab, Network
Theory Lab, Control System Lab, Power Electronics
Lab, Electrical Measuring & Instrumentation Lab,
Power System and Electrical Workshop, have been
established to conduct practical classes prescribed by
the university for the students of various
departments.
Department of Applied
Sciences & Humanities
Engineering Physics, Engineering Chemistry and
Engineering Mathematics have a very significant place
in the curriculum of engineering undergraduates of all
branches. The Department of Applied Sciences and
Humanities consist of Mathematics, Physics,
Chemistry, Environmental Studies, English,
Economics and Management. The college has a wellqualified faculty and adequate infrastructure in all
these disciplines. The Department has well-developed
and spacious laboratories.
The Physics Lab comprises of two sections. The Dark
Room is exclusively meant for Dark Room experiments like optics using spectrometers, Newton's ring apparatus to
measure the wavelength, complete sets for studying Hall Effect, and apparatus to measure band gap.
The Chemistry lab is equipped with modern instruments like UV-visible spectrometer, pH meter, conductivity meter,
flame photometer, flash & fire point apparatus, redwood viscometers, electronic balance etc. along with sufficient and
good quality glassware and chemicals. The lab has separate instruments and balance room.
Department has an excellent Language Lab to cater to the improvement needs concerning the communication skills of
the students.

The Faculty of Management ventures for preparing dynamic, buoyant and ethical professionals having
strong managerial traits and potential for successful entrepreneurship.
Faculty of Management has a full fledged Language Laboratory exclusively meant for improving
communication skills. Communication Laboratory is equipped with latest audio-video equipments,
computers and software, where learning English or any other language becomes fun. The common
weakness of students i.e. proficiency in languages is tackled in such a way that without stress, students
adequately master the languages. This increases their employability potential significantly. In addition
to communication Laboratory, the much needed individual attention is given to the students for
improving their "English Proficiency" so that they can understand the other subjects their respective
courses.
The Institute has two laboratories. The Departmental Laboratory is equipped with limited nodes
connected to high-end server, all networked and having Net-meeting arrangement. The Central
Computer Laboratory is equipped with latest configurations of desktops, supported by two high end
servers, a host of printers and other peripherals. Since the students pursuing MBA programme many
hours in the computer laboratory and hence highly comfortable seating arrangement has been
provided for.
All computer Laboratories are connected with 2Mbps lease line through radio link and work under
fully Wi-fi arrangement. This helps students significantly. They can excess internet not only in the
laboratory, but from anywhere in the campus as per their convenience.

The BBA course is aimed at providing a management degree to students who are aspiring for a career
as managers and also wish to do post graduation in management subsequently. Apart from covering
the basic areas of management, the course equips the students with the latest job oriented subjects like
Computers in Management, Computer Programming C Language, Selling Skills, Banking and
Insurance, Multimedia Information Technology, Structured System Analysis & Design etc.

Training & Placement Cell
Placement cell of Bimla Devi Educational Society's Group of Institutions, JB Knowledge Park has
started working from the very first year towards the ultimate goal of students' employment in the
industry or to begin a business venture. The department serves the purpose of match making and
culminating a win-win situation where the industry gets fresh talent and student passing out from
institute get better job opportunities.
The placement cell achieves this by providing opportunities to students to express and present
themselves in a group. At the end of each session, the members of the cell give a student's constructive
feedback and monitor the growth and development of each student so that, the students are capable of
taking an initiative in any situation which would prove an asset to any organization or venture that they
are associated with as professional.
In addition, the placement cell organizes industrial visits and industrial training for the students. All
these activities tremendously enhance the professional abilities of students and enable them to acquire
jobs with best employers in the professional world. Through these activities students gain tremendous
exposure and practical knowledge.
Placement Cell also helps students by counseling them to choose an appropriate career depending on
their aptitude and interest. It helps to find the student appropriate summer project and final
placements.
The students of JB Knowledge Park are

Annual Cultural
Program Anugoonj
The hectic academic schedule
is broken by the relief of
cultural activities. JBKP has an active cultural cell comprising of faculty members and student
representatives from various programs.
Cultural cell organizes various events intended to unearth the abundant talent which lies in
the budding professionals. Competitions like ad-mad show, debate, brand war, singing
competitions, dance competitions, fashion show etc not only make these competitions an ideal
platform allowing creative exchanges, but also provide an extraordinary opportunity to learn.
Cultural cell annually organizes the event to encourage its students to express their confidence,
organizing skills and efforts. The event explores contemporary movements in the Indian
culture. The events are organized within the JBKP Campus facilitating both Inter-Class and
Inter- College competitions.
Technical Quiz, Software development competition, LAN Gaming, Seminar, Group
discussion are the main programmes organized by the engineering students on the Technology
Day Celebration every year.

Annual Sports Meet
To harness holistic and comprehensive development of students, JBKP has incorporated
physical fitness as an intrinsic and inclusive part of the educational programme. To realize the
individual's maximum potentials and attain an optimum level of efficiency in sports, college
provides all essential sports amenities and facilities. Besides, the environment is well suited for
players to grow and exhibit their best talents. JBKP encourages the competitive spirit by hosting
competitive tournaments and events all through the year.
In addition to adequate indoor games facilities, extensive and well laid out playgrounds are
available for out door games with all amenities. The students are encourage and sponsored to
participate in various inter-college sports activities.
A gymnasium has been developed and comprises of all indoor games such as Table Tennis,
Badminton, etc.
Library
Central library is equipped with the latest edition of variety of books for B.
Tech, MBA and BBA students. Various journals of National and
International repute, magazines and newspapers are a regular feature of the
library. Computerized on-line database, Audio-Video educational materials,
e-journals are the uniqueness of our library.
Games & Sport
An educational body is not merely conceived as a vast reservoir of knowledge,
but as a source of human development in all aspects, adding to the highest
level of achievements. An educated individual has to be physically fit, mentally
alert, intellectually sharp, emotionally balanced and socially well adjusted.
The JBKP Sport's complex has grounds for sporting action. Facilities for
cricket, volleyball, football, badminton, chess and carom along with athletics
are available.
College Canteen
The canteen has adequate space and serves a variety of food/snacks, which is
wholesome and healthy. Cleanliness, hygiene, quality and reasonable pricing
are of prime importance.
Students, faculty and staff members make use of the facility during lunch
hours or free time.
Transport Facility
A fleet of buses provide transport facilities to its students, faculties and staff
throughout Faridabad, Palwal, Gurgaon and Delhi.
Medical Center
JBKP has its own dispensary within the campus with well trained staff. An
experienced Medical Officer visits regularly and takes care of the health and
treatment of students and staff. In the event of an emergency, students/staff
are taken to the nearest expert physicians and/or hospital for treatment.
Books, stationary & other items of general use by the students are kept in the
books & stationary shop. These are provided to the student & staff on a noprofit - no-loss basis

Merit cum Means
Scholarship for Poor &
Underprivileged Students
As part of our ongoing social responsibility initiatives and philanthropic
work in the area of quality education at affordable price, the 'Smt. Vidya
Devi Memorial Merit cum Means Scholarship' is designed to help those
students who come from poor and underprivileged strata of the society
and are deprived of quality education due to financial reasons.
In order to avail the scholarship, the student has to satisfy the following
criterion of selection:
A) Eligibility for appearing in the Scholarship examination would be a
minimum of 75% marks in the qualifying exam.
B) The eligible students would be required to appear in the JB
Knowledge Park's "Smt. Vidya Devi Memorial Merit cum MeansScholarship Examination and Interview". The amount of scholarship
will be decided on merit [in the scholarship examination &
interview] cum means basis, which can vary from 10% to 100% of the
tuition fees.
The continuation of scholarship will depend on candidates performance
in each year (both the semesters) in which he/she will have to maintain
minimum 85% attendance and 75% marks in each semester and if due
to unavoidable circumstances does not score 75% marks in any one
semester then the average of both the semesters of that particular year
shall not fall below 75% marks.
For the purpose of verification of the background and status of the
students, they will be required to furnish document that shall verify their
claim for this scholarship.
In all cases the decision of the management shall be final and binding
and cannot be challenged on any ground.

Shri Y. Hari Shankar, (IPS, MBA); [Ex. Secretary (Security) in the cabinet Secretariat,
Government of India, an IPS of 1966, is a rare combination of administration, intelligence, and
academics. Being responsible for the security of Prime minister of India and Head of SPG, he has
been dealing very critical situations frequently. He has done his Management Course from
Thames Valley University, UK in 1989-90.
Shri Rajiv K. Bapna, (M. Tech., MBA, B. Tech.); [Chief Executive, AMKETTE Industries. Mr.
Bapna is an alumnus of IIT Delhi and BITS Pilani, and is most famous for being the founder of
Amkette in 1986. The company was the first ever domestic manufacturer of floppy diskettes in
India. Mr. Bapna possesses excellent exposure to corporate world and has been the member of
various industrial organizations.
