ADMISSIONS PHILOSOPHY
Fordham is committed to creating a diverse, intellectually motivated and dynamic community well-suited for professional leadership in an everchanging global economy. Our admissions philosophy is based on cura personalis, a Jesuit principle built on a deep respect for each individual and their
potential. The Admission’s Committee carefully reviews each application and evaluates the balance of an applicant’s academic and career potential. Key
areas of consideration are academic performance and potential, managerial and leadership promise, and overall professional goals and aspirations.
Important Application Notes:


Applications are reviewed on a rolling-basis. Applications received by February 1 for degree-granting programs, receive scholarship consideration
Applications must be submitted online and require a non-refundable $130 application fee
International students requiring an F-1 visa must apply one month prior to the above deadlines, (exceptions are applicants to the MS programs in
Marketing Intelligence and Global Finance which have separate deadlines for domestic and international applicants).
The MS in Quantitative Finance program has a final deadline of March 1 for all applicants, domestic and international
For the JD/MBA Program, a separate application must be submitted to the Fordham School of Law.
For the MS in Non-Profit Leadership Program, the application must be submitted to Fordham’s School of Social Service
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To submit a graduate application to Fordham’s Business School,
please visit: gradadmissions.fordham.edu/apply/
General Materials: All applications require a current professional
résumé/CV, official undergraduate and graduate transcripts.
Materials like essay(s), professional résumé/CV, and
recommendations must be electronically submitted through the
application system.
Recommendation Letters: MBA applicants require two
recommendation letters from professional sources, such as
managers, supervisors, colleagues, or clients. Recent college
graduates applying to the Master of Science (MS) programs can
submit recommendations from both professional and academic
sources, such as college professors or internship supervisors.
Academic Transcripts: Official transcripts may be submitted by
mail or in person. Fordham may accept e-transcripts directly in lieu
of a paper version from the academic institution or an academic
records agency.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS
Language Proficiency: All applicants whose native language is not
English must submit an original TOEFL or IELTS test score report. The
only exceptions are applicants who have completed all four years of
undergraduate or a two-year Master’s Program where both the language
of instruction is English and the university is located in a country whose
official language is English.
Interviews: International applicants are required to participate in an
admission interview in order to receive a decision. We reserve
the right to evaluate an applicant’s English based on the admission
interview and an ESL test prior to the start of classes. Language
enrichment classes may be added to strengthen a student’s Fordham
curriculum.
Academic Credentials Verification: All international applicants are
required to submit official transcripts AND a third-party evaluation of
their academic transcripts. We accept evaluations from any NACES
recommended provider www.naces.org/
