 Wrote law reform papers in the areas of company law, partnership law,
administrative and civil sanctions, legal professional fees, civil litigation and mental
capacity. These involved conducting legal research and comparative studies of
developments in foreign jurisdictions.

 Collaborated with industry players in law reform work. Member of the Singapore
Academy of Law - Law Reform Committee, the MOF Company Law Regulatory
Framework Committee, the MOF Study Team on Limited Liability Partnerships and

 Drafted legislation and rendered legal advice particularly in the areas of company

 Formulated policies to develop a disclosure-based regulatory framework for
capital markets in Singapore.

 Led an internet taskforce to study the impact of Electronic Communication
Networks and Alternative Trading systems for the trading of securities.

 Represented MAS in the MOF Corporate Finance Committee Working Group and
at international organizations such as the International Organisation of Securities
Commissions.

Law Lecturer, Diploma in Legal Studies (1994-96)

 Developed new curricula for the Law of Insolvency, Commercial Transactions,
Company Law; conducted lectures and tutorials in these subjects.

 Developed the Legal Training Program to provide internships for legal students in
law firms and the courts. Organised exhibitions to promote courses offered by the
