University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Wheelchair Basketball Summer Camps
What:
Wheelchair Basketball Camps: Individual Skills Camp, Coaches Clinic I, Elite Camp, Coaches Clinic
II and Track Camp.
Who:
Wheelchair Basketball Camp offered by the Division of Disability Resources and Educational
Resources Camps taught by the U of I coaching staff and student-athletes.
Where: University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Activities & Recreation Center, 201 E Peabody Dr,
Champaign, IL.
When: Individual Skills Camp and Coaches Clinic I June 29-July 3,
Elite Camp and Coaches Clinic II July 20-25 and
Track Camp TBA.
Why:
To “continue to develop wheelchair sports” by assisting “in the development and improvement” of
one’s wheelchair sport programs.

College tournament at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) Nov. 8-9,
College tournament at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Nov. 22-23,
Popcorn Bowl at UIUC Dec. 11,
Pioneer Classic at UIUC Jan 10-12,
College tournament at UIUC Jan. 17-18,
College tournament at Eastern University Jan. 24-25,
College tournament at UIUC Feb. 7-8,
College tournament at Alabama Feb. 21-22 and
National Intercollegiate Wheelchair Basketball Tournament at UTA March 5-9.
Why:
To boost attendance at wheelchair basketball games and show it’s “everything that
regular basketball would be” except for the chair.
