The ByteMobile® T3100 Adaptive Traffic Manager is the cornerstone of the ByteMobile Adaptive
Traffic Management Solution. As the central brain of Adaptive Traffic Management, the T3100
leverages various ByteMobile applications and integrates deep packet inspection (DPI), analytics,
subscriber engagement, policy control functionality, video, web and Internet radio optimization to
dynamically adapt to changing network conditions and ensure that mobile subscribers have the
best user experience and open up monetization opportunities for the operator.
The T3100 integrates the ByteMobile Orchestration System, allowing all underlying products to act as
a single network element for an integrated Adaptive Traffic Management Solution. This eliminates the
cost and complexity of deploying and managing multiple, disparate network elements for traffic
management. Acting as an intelligent, content-aware control point between the Internet and the
mobile radio network, the T3100 integrates multiple applications that enable operators to take control
of fast growing mobile data traffic and offer the best possible user experience to all subscribers, based
on device and network conditions, while maximizing revenue creation.

ByteMobile Orchestration System
The T3100 includes the ByteMobile Orchestration System, designed to simplify deployment and
management within the T3100 and across all ByteMobile products to enable rapid service creation based
on ByteMobile applications while lowering the total cost of ownership. The ByteMobile Orchestration
System lowers deployment costs, reduces downtime, minimizes errors and simplifies management.

T3100 Adaptive Traffic Manager – Platform Highlights
The T3100 is a 12 RU, carrier-grade, NEBS Level 3-compliant, fault-tolerant platform with built-in
redundancy for all hardware and software components. Purpose built for the ByteMobile Adaptive
Traffic Management solution, the T3100 is designed to significantly reduce the mobile operator’s
total cost of ownership for the deployment of traffic management solutions.
Resilient Carrier-Grade Design
The T3100 features a carrier-grade design that makes it ideal for the carrier’s mobile data core. The
platform is compliant with NEBS Level 3 and ETSI EN-300386-2 and offers both AC and DC power
supply options. The T3100 incorporates a resilient design with fully redundant switching,
computing, management, power and cooling components for high reliability, availability and
serviceability. All modules are hot-swappable. The design also features complete physical and
logical separation of data and management planes, as well as a high-capacity switch fabric that
provides high-speed interconnection among the modules.
Operational Efficiency
With a single architecture incorporating multiple applications, computing servers and networking
hardware in a unified system, the T3100 significantly improves operational efficiency. It is managed
as a single network element through a Command Line Interface (CLI), a web-based graphical user
interface (GUI) or, for a network of T3100 elements, through the Element Manager.

Scalability
The T3100 is ideal for processing increasing traffic demands in mobile networks. With the
product’s highly scalable architecture, operators can easily expand the capacity of the Bytemobile
Adaptive Traffic Manager to meet future traffic processing needs by adding processing modules
