Objective
Technical Publications Manager/Director of Technical Communications: Managing a team of
creative technical documentation professionals; providing leadership and organizational
entrepreneurship in a friendly, open, and fast-paced environment on the leading edge of technology.
Overview
I am a highly skilled, leadership oriented, results-driven publications professional, who enjoys building
and leading teams of highly motivated technical publications professionals. I thrive in challenging and
face-paced environments on the leading edge of technology, and in culturally diverse and flexible
organizations that embrace high ethical standards, corporate entrepreneurship, and innovation.
I believe in strong leadership through motivation, encouragement, mentoring, training, and enabling.
Successful management means more than simply assigning and tracking project tasks, more than
recruiting and hiring good talent, it means being intimately involved with the team and making sure that
each member is challenged, empowered and enabled, motivated, self-actualized, and recognized for
their contributions and ideas.
I also believe in a culture of openness, cooperation, and knowledge sharing. The days of empire
building, information silos, and departmental walls are gone. If an organization expects to compete in
today’s ever widening global information based economy, then each of its members must participate
fully in a team environment that encourages corporate entrepreneurship and innovation.
