What is the Guaranteed Admission Program?
The Guaranteed Admission Program is an agreement between the Connecticut Community Colleges and the
University of Connecticut that guarantees you admission to UConn’s College of Liberal Arts & Sciences (CLAS) and
the College of Agriculture & Natural Resources (CANR).
Why participate in the Guaranteed Admission Program:
You will be guaranteed admission as a junior to the CLAS or CANR program of your choice. You can complete the first
two years of your degree at a community college at tremendous savings in tuition. You will enjoy one-on-one academic
advising from a dedicated Guaranteed Admission Program advisor at the Community College and the University of
Connecticut.
Who is eligible for the Guaranteed Admission Program?
To be eligible, a student must have earned 16 or fewer credits and be enrolled in a Liberal Arts transfer program at a
participating Connecticut Community College.
Guaranteed Admission Program requirements:
Students must earn a 3.0 minimum cumulative grade point average and an associate’s degree in a Liberal Arts transfer
program in order to qualify under the terms of the agreement. The associate’s degree must be completed within five
years of enrollment in the Guaranteed Admission Program.
