The Joyful Child Foundation is glad to partner with the City of Stanton to offer free safety empowerment workshops at the Stanton Family Resource Center on February 23 March 23 April 27 3:30-5 p.m. The Joyful Child Foundation’s BRAVE Workshops are 90- minute age-appropriate life skills lessons that include physical skills to defend VIOLENCE & ABDUCTION PREVENTION against sexual abuse, violence or abduction. Students develop BRAVE Plans for: The goal of the BRAVE Workshops is to reduce the risk of victimization by providing knowledge and skills about personal safety. Lessons are designed ♦ to nurture each student’s ability to recognize potential dangers, verbalize discomfort or a need for help, and physically resist abduction, assault, or ♦ Getting Lost Typical Tricks Strangers Use violence. Students are empowered to make brave, safe, and healthy choices.
