Books, ebooks, magazines, journals, newspapers, audiobooks, video games,
music CDs & videos for all ages and interests.
Loan Periods: books (3 weeks), VHS, DVDs, CDs, video games, audiobooks,
music CDs and magazines (1 week)
Computer Lab (Internet, E-mail, Office XP, full-text magazine, journal & newspaper
databases)
Photocopier, fax, scanner, typewriter, TV / VCR / DVD
Conference Room (McChord Library) – call to reserve room
Quiet study rooms
Reference Librarian is available to assist with research, offer guidance in the use of reference resources (electronic and traditional), and perform specialized database searches.
Interlibrary Loan – books, articles and videos not owned by our library can be borrowed
from other libraries.
Document Delivery available for articles available from online sources.

Lewis-McChord Libraries offer students and researchers over 40 research databases

Academic Search Elite (good all-purpose database, covering all major subject
areas)
A one-stop source for magazine, newspaper & peer-reviewed journal articles on a wide
range of topics: business, computers, current events, economics, education, environ
mental issues, health care, hobbies, humanities, law, literature and art, politics, science,
social science, sports, technology, and many general interest topics. Thousands of fulltext articles. Updated daily.
Student Resources In-Context
Web-like user experience promotes student success across all academic disciplines. Easy access to magazines, academic journals, news articles, primary source
documents, images, videos, audio files and links to prescreened websites.
Excellent resource for high school and community college students.
Literature Resource Center - biographical information, literary criticism and reviews
about nearly 130,000 authors in all genres and disciplines. It is international and covers
all time periods. Provides full text articles from literary journals and periodicals, as
well as material from Gale's print literature titles.
Opposing Viewpoints In Context — an excellent source for info on social is
sues. Access viewpoint articles, topic overviews, statistics, links to websites, and fulltext magazine and newspaper articles.

O’Reilly, Addison-Wesley, Cisco Press, Microsoft Press and more.
OneClickDigital Hundreds of eaudiobooks are available from One Click Digital by Recorded Books. Genres include biography,

These are descriptions of some of the more popular links on the Embry-Riddle Extended
Campus web page. However, depending on your research, some of the other links may be
useful, too, so try them out and see what you find.
TO LOCATE MATERIALS (BOOKS, ARTICLES, ETC.)
EAGLESEARCH, is a program that allows you to search multiple databases and collections
simultaneously. Simply enter keywords into the search box. Once your results are displayed you can narrow your search by limiting your results by CONTENT TYPE (i.e., books,
ebooks, scholarly peer-reviewed journals, newspapers, technical reports, etc.)
Click on FIND BOOKS (CATALOG) to limit your search to books and/or ebooks.
Click on FIND ARTICLES (DATABASES) to limit your search to articles from magazines,
journals, newspapers, newsletters, conference proceedings, etc.
If you would like to order items from the main campus library click on the BORROW/RENEW
(CIRCULATION) link located under LIBRARY SERVICES to find online request forms and additional info. Material will be mailed directly to your home address.
