COME TO REUNION! There will be a full schedule of class and university-sponsored
events to keep you as busy as you want to be. The always anticipated Olin Lecture will
take place at 3 p.m. on Friday. President David Skorton will give the State of the University
Address at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. Opportunities abound for you to attend or
participate in athletic events and musical performances throughout the weekend.
And everyone looks forward to the tent parties on the Arts Quad on Friday and
Saturday evenings!
Highlights of our weekend of Class activities include a wine and beer tasting Thursday afternoon, gallery
reception Thursday night, healthy lunch on Friday with a panel of nutritional experts, a jazz combo
during dinner on Friday night, a pianist in headquarters on Friday and Saturday nights, and a gala
dinner at the Statler Ballroom on Saturday night with guest speaker Professor Isaac Kramnick. Our
venues will take us from the old (The Straight Terrace) to the new (The Atrium of the Physical
Sciences Building).
Class headquaters are in the Flora Rose House, a modern complex at the bottom of Libe Slope. Named
after a former nutrition lecturer, the house was built last year and is the final building in the West
Campus Housing System. Although the new headquarters are exciting, the best part of the weekend will
be the time you have to visit and reminisce with old and new friends; and, between all the activities, we
hope you can rediscover Cornell and fall in love with her all over again.
Most of all, there will be plenty of time to chat and reminisce with old and new friends. Between all the
activities, you can rediscover Cornell and fall in love with her all over again!
We look forward to welcoming you back to the Hill on June 9-12. Please contact us to make suggestions
or to get more information.

Package FAQs
What does the registration fee include?
All packages include class receptions and meals, souvenirs, class shuttles, tent admission,
headquarters snacks and beverages, entertainment, and most university events. The
Youth Program, some athletic events, and a few ticketed university events are NOT
included.
What if I sign up and then can’t come?
We are happy to offer refunds if you cancel before May 27.
Can I register when I get there?
Yes, you can—but please consider that it’s much easier on your reunion chairs if you sign
up beforehand so they order enough food and beverages for the weekend.

Can I smoke in the dorms or bring my pet?
No and no (unless your pet is a service animal).
Can I get a room near my friends?
We can try! Room assignments are made on a first-in-Ithaca basis, so get
here early and ask to room with or near someone when you check-in. Make
your request to share a townhouse suite with your friends on the on-line
registration.
I have special needs—is it practical for me to stay in the dorms?
Yes! On the paper and online registration forms, there is a space to
communicate your needs.
Does our class have a block of rooms at a hotel?
Yes. Call the Holiday Inn (607-272-1000) or the Hilton Garden Inn (607277-8900) well before May 9 (when the block will be released) and tell them
you’re with the Cornell Class of ’71. If you end up on the hotel waiting list,
you should register for a dorm room in the interim and cancel by May 27 to
get a refund.
3. Gifts to our 40th Reunion Campaign
Our goal is to have every classmate make a gift to Cornell as part of
our reunion campaign. Each gift to Cornell, regardless of the amount
or designation, counts in our class totals, and helps to support today’s
Cornellians. You can make your gift by visiting giving.cornell.edu/give,
or by calling the Cornell Annual Fund at 1-800-279-3099. We will be
announcing our results at Reunion Weekend, so please send in your gift
today so that we can count your gift in our totals.
