1. To determine the proper dose for HaloKlear biopolymers
2. To determine which products and in what combination will provide best results
3. To determine the proper injection rate when using liquid biopolymers
HaloKlear LiquiFloc 1% and LBP-2101 (supplied)
Several 1 liter clear jars for testing
2 to 3 liters of representative turbid water sample to be treated
1. Obtain 1 liter source sample water for testing
2. Add 1 drop of HaloKlear LiquiFloc 1%
3. Shake sample, then let stand for several minutes
4. Repeat steps 2 through 4 as needed until flocculation occurs and desired result reached. Count the
number of drops used.
Step 1:
1. Obtain 1 Liter of source sample water for testing
2. Add 1 drop of HaloKlear LBP-2101
3. Shake sample
4. Add 1 drop of HaloKlear LiquiFloc 1%
5. Shake sample, then let stand for several minutes
6. Repeat steps 2 through 6 as needed until flocculation occurs and desired results reached. Count
the number of drops used and continue on to Step 2.
Step 2:
1. Obtain 1 liter of source sample water for testing
2. Once Step 1 above has been concluded, add the total number of drops of LBP-2101 all at once
and shake well.
3. Add 1 drop of HaloKlear LiquiFloc 1%
4. Shake sample and let stand for several minutes
5. Repeat steps 3-4 as needed until flocculation occurs and desired results reached. Count the
number
Note: In a liter, each drop of HaloKlear LBP-2101 is equal to 0.5ppm active (50 ppm of product). Each drop of HaloKlear LiquiFloc 1% is equal to 0.5ppm active.

Injection Rate Table Directions:
1. Determine the target flow rate (left hand column).
2. Locate the dose (top row) that was determined from the jar test method for single biopolymer
and the jar test method for dual biopolymer test above.
3. The Injection Rate Table is designed for HaloKlear LBP-2101 and HaloKlear Liquifloc 1%.
Determine the rate in milliliters per min (mL/min) or gallons per hour (gph).
4. If using HaloKlear LiquiFloc 2% instead of LiquiFloc 1%, divide the value from step C by 2. If
using HaloKlear LiquiFloc 3% divide the value from step C by 3.

Injection Rate Table Directions
A. Determine the target flow rate (left hand column).
Each HaloKlear GelFloc or DBP-2100 sock will normally treat 100,000 to 125,000 gallons of turbid water. Some applications may allow the sock to treat more water.
One HaloKlear GelFloc FS or DBP-2100 FS sock in 100,000 gallons of water will have an average dose of 2.64 mg/L or 2.11 mg/L if 125,000 gallons are treated.
The HaloKlear Residual Biopolymer Test Kit can detect the presence of biopolymer at less than 0.1 mg/L, below toxicity concerns.
