Birmingham Hub and Spoke Services Who are Creative Support? Creative Support are a not-for-profit provider of personalised services, supporting people to enjoy their lives and reach their full potential. Our services focus on promoting recovery, wellbeing and greater independence. We enable people to make progress in these areas by recognising and building on their strengths, coping abilities, social networks and natural support systems. What are Birmingham Hub and Spoke Services? Creative Support deliver preventative and wellbeing services for those who have or are at risk of experiencing mental ill health. We provide one-to-one and group support that focuses around individualised recovery pathways to enable people to live a fulfilled life. The Hub and Spoke Services operate out of two Hubs: Water Street in the Heart of Birmingham, and Northfield in South Birmingham. We also facilitate several community Spokes which offer activities such as gardening and friendship and support groups. We offer a wide range of sessions to help you develop your skills, confidence and wellbeing, build social and support networks and develop personal effectiveness. Our sessions are run by our Support Time Recovery (STR) Workers, sessional staff, volunteers and external agencies who deliver specialist workshops, advice sessions and one-off talks. Who can access the services? • Men and women over the age of 18 • With a mental health diagnosis • Living within the Birmingham area Hub Facilities Facilities include a fully equipped music recording studio, a café serving lunchtime meals and snacks, facilities for cooking and art, I.T. spaces, training rooms and quiet rooms for relaxation sessions. Member Involvement Creative Support is committed to an individualised, person-centred philosophy of service delivery which is designed around the individual needs and choices of the members of Birmingham Hub and Spoke Services. Creative Support’s staff team work in coproduction with our members to ensure that our services are driven and shaped by the needs and choices of our members.
