Jeanie Graustein, M.Ed., M.Div., is Environmental Justice Ministry Coordinator for the Office for Catholic Social Justice Ministry, Archdiocese of Hartford. She engages congregations in reflecting on the moral nature of issues such as clean air and water, children’s environmental health, sprawling development in CT, and global climate change. Results from a range of studies, using survey methodologies to gather public opinion, will identify how Americans feel about climate change, what their beliefs and attitudes are, what knowledge they have about how the climate system works and how likely they are to support or oppose policies designed to mitigate against the threat Nicholas Smith Bio: Since January 2010, I have been a postdoctoral research associate for the Yale Project on Climate Change Communication. I am involved with a variety of projects exploring American public awareness and understanding of climate change. Recent projects have included investigating the types of imagery and emotions Americans associate with climate change and how these relate to risk perceptions and policy preferences.
