Canada Customs and Revenue Agency Agence des douanes et du revenu du Canada REGISTRATION OF FAMILY SUPPORT PAYMENTS Use this form to register your court order or written agreement if you meet any of the conditions outlined below: 1) Your order or agreement was made in 2001 or a subsequent year. and it specifies support payments for a spouse or common~law partner. Starting in 2001, the term spouse applies only to a person to whom you are legally married. A common-law partner is a person of the same or opposite sex who is not your spouse, and who meets certain conditions. See Guide P102, Support Payments for details. 2) Your order or agreement was made after April 1997 and before January 2001, and it specifies support payments for a spouse. For years before 2001, the term spouse applies to a person to whom you were legally married or a person of the opposite sex with whom you lived in a common-law relationship. 3) Your order or agreement was made before May 1997, it specifies support payments for a spouse or for a spouse and a child, and: • you have filed Form T1157, Election for Chifd Support Payments; or • your order or agreement was changed after April 1997 to increase or decrease the amount of child support payable.
