for business and professionals throughout the area. A variety of companies rely on us for customized programming, workforce development, and

MJ Ryan, Workforce Development at Partners Healthcare says, “Partners Healthcare has been partnering with QCC with excellent results!
The QCC workforce development team is responsive and always goes above and beyond to assure that our employee student needs
are considered. The QCC faculty and research teams have helped us to design student resources to prepare for online learning and have
also helped us to evaluate student progress. We initially approached QCC as we wanted to try online learning as a way to improve access
to education for our employees. The college and its faculty and staff have far surpassed our expectations. QCC faculty is accessible and
supportive, and our employees are experiencing unprecedented success and progress. QCC has helped our employees to believe in
themselves and their ability to balance work, family and college in order to advance in their careers. We are very grateful for this partnership.”

Stress Management
Stress isn’t the enemy. It is our perceptions of stress that amp
our anxiety and use up all our steam. Events happen every day.
How we interpret those events can set the stage for how we
feel and how we react to others. Reducing stress is as easy as
understanding what stress is, understanding what stress is to you,
and using that knowledge to restructure your thoughts. Turn
stress into a stepping stone, not a stumbling block!
Do you want to be a vital member of a healthcare team? This program
will teach you about the sterile processing department, vital infection
control techniques, microbiology, and handling surgical instruments.
Infectious disease and illness can spread through healthcare facilities
rapidly and cause great devastation. Therefore, sterilization performed
by well-trained and professional sterile processing technicians is a
critical component for all healthcare facilities. You will learn through
an interactive, hands-on experience. As a sterile processing technician,
you can work in a variety of environments such as hospitals, outpatient
care centers, nursing homes, physicians’ offices, and veterinarian
offices. Start your training to become sterile processing technician and
be a valued member of a healthcare team!
Prerequisites: High School Diploma/GED, completed health
information form, strong English skills. CORI/SORI checks will be
completed for all students. Acceptance based on a completed

Extreme
Couponing
Extreme couponing isn’t as crazy as it may sound. You don’t
have to let coupons dominate your life, and you don’t have
to be embarrassed at the cash register. You just need the right
strategies to use coupons in conjunction with store sales and
promotions, and then enjoy the satisfaction of getting items for
free or close to free. It’s about timing, and not necessarily using
a coupon because you found it in that week’s Sunday paper.
Instead of using it immediately, you hold onto coupons until
items go on sale, maximizing your savings without sacrificing
quality.
This course will break down the couponing process into
manageable and easy to follow steps to get you on your way to
saving at least 50% off your grocery bill. You’ll come to realize
how many items you should never pay full price for again.
Topics include:
• What extreme couponing is and how it differs from regular
couponing
• How to get started saving money on groceries and
household items
• “Extreme couponing” strategies
• Where to look for online coupons
As a suggestion, please bring one non-perishable food item to
be donated to the local food pantry. Most food pantries are
struggling and donations are down more now than in recent
years. Your help is greatly appreciated.
