in Jaarbeurs Utrecht
The largest and most important exhibition for the electrical industry in the
Netherlands is Elektrotechniek 2013. During Elektrotechniek 2013, 400 exhibitors
present themselves to more than 30.000
visitors.
After the success of Elektrotechniek 2011,
BARTEC is again presenting itself as an
exhibitor.
To give you a correct impression of our
specialty in panelbuilding, electrical
heat-tracing, automation technology and
Ex in general, we present ourselves this
year at the exhibition on a stand with an
area of 110 m2. Here we present many
new products, some of which certainly may be advantageously used in your

Control panels Ex d/Ex de flameproof

Ex d/Ex de flameproof
The BARTEC ATEX/IECEx certified Ex control panels are constructed according to protection
type Ex d, flameproof encapsulation. Standard components such as switches, contactors and
relays are mounted in an explosionproof enclosure constructed in such a way as to keep internal
explosions from igniting the surrounding atmosphere. Ex d control panels are usually custombuilt in close cooperation with the customer himself for his special application.
BARTEC VARNOST has been developing and manufacturing explosion-protected
electric motors for over 45 year for use in
industrial plants with a potentially explosive
atmosphere containing inflammable fumes.
Different versions
Flameproof control panels are available
either with direct cable-entries through Ex
d cable-glands or with indirect cable-entries
through a junction box with protection type
increased safety Ex e.
The electrical wiring between Ex d and Ex e
enclosure will be done through Ex d linebushings.

Besides standard solutions in drive technology we also satisfy individual needs from
design, development, testing, to certifying
and manufacturing.
These are three-phase asynchronous electric motors with short-circuit rotor, explosion
protected according to the CENELEC EN 60079
series.
Construction
Electric motors are of totally enclosed, fancooled (blow-over) type. Cooling is provided
by fans blowing external air over the ribbed
outside surface (cooling system IC 411 acc.
to EN 60034-6).
Electric motors up to 225 frame size are
made of grey cast iron. Motors frame size of
250 and more are made of welded housing
and the terminal boxes of grey cast irons.

The PLEXO TCS connection system is the
ideal connection system for the complete
range of BARTEC self-limiting heating tapes.
With only one system you can assemble
heating connections, plug and socket, splices
and also end terminations, easily and safely.
BARTEC has further developed the long
successful mechanical control unit series,
focusing above all on enhanced safety and
economic efficiency. The heating of oil pipelines at great water
depths is a very specific and complex application field for electrical heating systems.
An electrical heating system is absolutely
essential to guarantee reliable, constant oil
production for such a specific application.
PLEXO TCS is a plug-in system with patented
sealing and clamping technology. Mounting is
easy and requires only the usual tools. Altering
heating circuits or maintenance can be done
quick and very flexible.
Connection, termination and splice consist
of two parts, plug and socket. The strands
in the heating tapes or the supply cables are
fixed really safe with spring-loaded terminals
inside the PLEXO TCS enclosure. The supply cable can be directly connected
to a heating tape. The PLEXO TCS connector
is the ideal solution for revisions and
maintenance. With this system you can also
connect two heating cables: simple, safe and
reliable.
In addition to the use of conventional wiring
by means of a sheathed cable, BSTW II
and the combination of BSTW II/BTB II are
also suitable and approved for the direct
connection of self-limiting BARTEC heating
systems in the enclosure. The benefit for the
customer is obvious. The direct connection of
self-limiting heating tapes eliminates the need
for junction boxes and considerably reduces
the extent of wiring required. The current
carrying capacity has been increased from
16 A to 25 A.
The control units can monitor the ambient
temperature and also different surface temperatures. The BSTW II family is available
as single channel controller and limiter, as
combined device with one controller and one
limiter and also as multi-device. Three heating
circuits can be connected in one enclosure.
The hot oil from the crude oil deposits
cools down significantly in the considerably
lower ambient temperatures found on the
sea bed. There is a great risk of the emergence of wax and hydrate formations. Heating the oil pipelines at great ocean depths
requires a high degree of expertise and
places considerable demands on the heating tape.
Deep Sea Star prevents the emergence
of wax and hydrate formations of the
oil. The crude oil remains free-flowing –
regardless of the prevailing ambient conditions. Deep Sea Star is highly efficient and
is really the right choice when it comes to
heating your pipeline.
