Overview
Increasing demand for connectivity on-the-move is resulting in
a rapid proliferation of smart devices in vehicles. OEMs are under
constant pressure to integrate fast evolving technologies into their
vehicles, reduce cycle times, and offer cost-effective solutions.
Consumers are also looking for in-vehicle devices that support good
lifestyle habits such as driver health and stress monitoring solutions.
These challenges are further intensified by the unprecedented need
for intuitive human-machine interface (HMI) to eliminate distraction
for drivers and reduce information overload.
To address these challenges, TCS offers a GENIVI® compliant
in-vehicle-infotainment (IVI) platform with a host of solution
accelerators to design and deploy connected infotainment systems
with an intuitive HMI. Components such as the HMI framework help
in rapid development and maintenance of application-based, toolagnostic HMI. Miracast ensures smart device connectivity, whereas
telematics framework manages downloadable applications with
secure sandboxed execution environment. In addition, the internet
connectivity framework enables rapid, lean and secure connected
application development and seamless connectivity management,
while the connected health solution facilitates the monitoring
of the driver’s heart rate and stress.
With Ethernet recognized as the next generation in-vehicle
networking infrastructure, TCS developed an Ethernet audio video
bridging (AVB) based solution. It helps connect the head unit, rear
seat entertainment (RSE), driver information center (DIC), advanced
diver assistance system (ADAS), and around view monitoring (AVM)
electronic control units (ECUs) with gateways to enable connectivity
with other networks in the car.
