Each 1.5 hour class should have time scheduled for instruction, exploration and creation of contentbased projects as well as time for one-on-one instruction for Newcomers and time for higher level
students to work on homework from other content area classes or to do daily reading.
TIMELINE A: The following sample timeline allows for 30 minutes of instruction for both content areas
and 30 minutes for one-on-one instruction/daily reading/homework help time.
