Wave of globalization has altogether changed the business realities. Strong customer orientation,
technological change, employee diversity and new set of global trade regulations have made it
imperative for HR professionals to ensure currency of their professional expertise with a view to
achieve organizational objectives. As the profession is graduating from administrative to business
partner role, HR professionals are expected to focus on long range value-added initiatives within the
enterprise and contribute towards enhancing business productivity. To achieve this transformation,
HR professionals need constant professional development by learning latest HR tools, techniques,
knowhow of business strategy and people management system. SHRM Forum Pakistan is a
nonprofit body and has been established to advance the interest of profession and the HR
professionals.
The robust interaction between professionals help in sharing of local best practices, continuous
professional development, solidifies professional relationship building and ultimately the success at
individual and organization level.

Mission
1. Build and sustain partnerships with human resource professionals, media, government, nongovernmental organizations, businesses and academic institutions to address people
management challenges that influence the effectiveness and sustainability of their
organizations and communities.
2. Serve as an advocate to ensure that policy makers, law makers and regulators are aware of
key people concerns facing organizations and the human resource profession.

Objectives
1. To act as a platform for HR professionals. To interact, communicate, share professional
experience, and engage in mutually beneficial learning activities.
2. To identify workforce productivity benchmarks so that organizations can aim for leveraging
business performance.
3. To focus on long range value-added initiatives in HR Management and contribute towards
enhancing business productivity.
4. To liaise with global HR credentialing organization and facilitate certification of HR
professionals.
5. To improve linkages between HR academia and practitioners, facilitate new HR
professionals in their applied research and guidance in pursuing HR career.

 Senior panel discussion on emerging ISO HR standards.
 Best practices day.
 Panel discussions on pre-determined topics of strategic HR interest.
 Presentation on HR certifications.
 CEOs discussion on expectations from HR.
