The celebration of the 50th year of the Talent Search is an opportunity for ETS programs, to share with their institutions, and with the nation their own historical roots, their program’s strengths and legacy, and the unique stamp that their program has imprinted upon the college access program model. Students from all seven schools were given the opportunity to share the impact that the program has had on their lives. Their testimonials were recorded and will be part of a video that will compete with other videos from other ETS programs nationwide. The winning video will be highlighted at the Council for Opportunity in Education’s 34th Annual Conference on September 1619, 2015 in Atlanta, GA. ETS participants at Sr. Retreat on 4/10-12/2015. Reach Higher Initiative Contact us Last May 2015, First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama launched the Reach Higher Initiative because she wants to inspire every student across the country to pursue and complete a postsecondary degree, whether at a traditional 4-year college, a 2-year community college or through an industry-recognized training program. The Educational Talent Search (ETS) program at California State University Monterey Bay joined the First Lady's Reach Higher Initiative by having our 288 graduating high school seniors showcase their decision to attend college on Social Media using the #ReachHigher, and taking a pledge to continue their education, training or career development after high school for a successful and prosperous future. 100 Campus Center, Building 47 Seaside, CA 93955 Phone: (831) 582-3662 Fax: (831) 582-3663 E-mail: ets@csumb.edu Web http://csumb.edu/ets Connect with us facebook.com/csumb.ets @csumb_ets Students pledging to attend the University of California, Berkeley, University of Pennsylvania, and California State University Sacramento. #ReachHigher #csumbETS #TrioWorks #CollegeBound Upcoming Events SAT and ACT Test Prep On the month of March, we offered 2 test preparation workshops at CSUMB for our Juniors.
