INTRODUCTION
Topaz Group is a renowned name in manufacturing and exporting woven garments since 1992. It
has come a long way from its origin; today Topaz Group is exporting US $ 28 million worth of
garments annually.
The group started with shirt producing facility, to day it has both shirt and trouser factories under
its umbrella employing around 4000 employee.
Companies under the TOPAZ GROUP umbrella are Topaz Garments Ltd, Topaz Dresses Ltd and
Star Garments (Pvt) Ltd.
It started with a production capacity of producing 80,000 shirts monthly, today it has a capacity
to produce 600,000 pieces of garments monthly. From the inception of our first factory to till
date we have produced 6 billion garments for the world.
Through sheer hard work, commitment and determination of our founder and employees Topaz
Group has come to this position. One characteristic that can be found among all individuals

KHAIRUL ANAM
CHAIRMAN & MANAGING DIRECTOR
Mr. Khairul Anam started his career as a business man. After graduating from Dhaka University
in 1969 with a masters in social science he entered in textile industry. He started as distributor of
nationalized spinning mills. Before he stepped into the garments trade he was an importer of
cotton from Russia.
He is also the sponsor director of Premier Leasing & Finance Ltd. and Premier Leasing Securities
Ltd.

Mr. Khandaker has a 30 years experience in the ready made garment industry. He has both
technical and marketing know how to maneuver the competitive and ever changing fashion
industry.
Currently he is the Chairman, Standing Committee on Garments Palli, BGMEA.

MANUFACTURING CAPACITY
Manufacturing units can be segmented as tops division and bottom division.
Tops Division consists of 14 lines, each consisting of 48 machines per line. Tops division is
capable of producing 300000 pieces of men shirts / Blouse
Bottom division consists of 10 line capable of producing 300000 pieces of trouser. Bottom unit
of Topaz Dress consist 90 machines per line. Production line in Star Garments consist of 65
machine per line. Another 4 line of bottom facility will be in production from April 2010,
totaling our capacity of 400000 pcs of trouser per month.
