Optional Review Game Cards (Pages 7, 8, 9)
Cut out cards from the Picture Dictionary. Tape one card to each student’s back. Have students walk
around the class trying to guess what they are playing or doing. The other students have to give them
hints by telling them what they are wearing or using, or what rules they have to follow. Students are not
allowed to use the word in the sport. If Student A has a soccer player on her back, Student B can’t say
“Don’t forget your soccer ball.” She can say, “Don’t use your hands today!” The first three students to
guess correctly get 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
If you have a large number of students, print out extra copies of the cards. Tell students they have to
find their teammates. You can find more cards to use in the Sports Flashcards section. See page 13 for
more information.
