ULTRA® 310 SERIES MARINE-GRADE SUPERCHARGED ENGINE
Water sports will never be the same once you’ve experienced the single
most powerful production personal watercraft. The Digital Fuel Injection
(DFI®), DOHC, 1,498cc, in-line four-cylinder engine is the reigning king
of horsepower, and its crown is the high-tech Eaton Twin Vortices (TVS)
supercharger. From the supercharged decals displayed prominently on the
hood, to the sound and feel as the engine hits max boost pressure, this
engine is designed to deliver a thrilling experience that excites the senses.
SUPERCHARGER
The Eaton TVS roots-type supercharger works in conjunction with an
intercooler to supply the engine with an uninterrupted flow of cool dense
air for maximum performance gain. The TVS is a fixed-displacement
design, which means it produces large quantities of boost at all RPMs,
from idle to redline. It contributes to maximum torque and strong linear
power delivery across the rev range that no other production watercraft
forced induction system can match.
ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT (ECU)
Kawasaki’s high-tech Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is the command
center that coordinates the fuel injectors and throttle body of
Kawasaki’s highly advanced Digital Fuel Injection (DFI®) engine to
route the optimum amount of air/fuel mixture into the combustion
chambers with help from the Electronic Throttle Valve (ETV) system
(which converts throttle lever input into electronic signals that are
then passed on to the throttle body).

The 2016 Kawasaki Jet Ski® Ultra® 310R watercraft is setting record lap times and turning heads
offshore with a Jet Ski supercharged engine and a Deep-V hull that assists with handling in choppy water.
A sporty riding position and a highly-adjustable post-style racing handlebar prime your Jet Ski Ultra 310R
for a day of riding, while the gripper style sport seat helps to keep you comfortably planted in the attack
position—even under full thrust. This personal watercraft is the epitome of sporty performance and
on-water exhilaration.
HULL
The deep 22.5-degree V-angled hull contributes to stability in rough water. Based on experience developing Kawasaki’s IJSBA
championship-winning machines, the tuned sponsons are designed to provide maximum grip for tighter performance in the
turns. The hull is also conveniently equipped with a standard re-boarding step as well as two separate flush ports for the
engine and intercooler.
PROPULSION SYSTEM
The Direct Drive Axial Flow Pump houses a high performance 160mm stainless steel impeller that efficiently converts the
power of the Jet Ski ® Ultra ® 310R into 1,890 pounds of forward thrust with a leading edge shape that minimizes cavitation
and provides astounding acceleration. The horizontal guide vanes on the intake grate help to “grip” the water and prevent the
bow from rising on acceleration for confidence inspiring stability.

GRAB FUN BY THE BARS
SPORT SEAT
This seat is designed specifically for hard sport riding, featuring a moderate contour in its overall shape to enhance
rider support. It is also narrower in the thigh area making it easier for the rider to grip with the knees while riding. It
even features a textured “gripper” seat cover material similar to the KX™ motocross bikes, so you can get the added
advantage of improved grip to help maintain the ride position.
ELECTRIC TRIM CONTROL (ETC)
Electric Trim Control is another example of the advanced technology that Kawasaki engineers have packed into
the Jet Ski® Ultra® 310 series. The ETC controls the nozzle impeller of the 160mm jet pump to adjust the hull
attitude to suit both water surface conditions and riding style. The system has a plus-or-minus range of eight
degrees, and it allows the Ultra® 310 series hull to take the fullest advantage of its razor-sharp handling.
MOTOCROSS-STYLE HANDLEBARS
Similar to the handlebar design found on a Kawasaki KX™450F motorcycle, the solid-mounted racing inspired
handlebar on the Jet Ski Ultra 310R watercraft offers plenty of adjustment to fine-tune your ride. The bar can move
into a total of 12 different positions—18 if the optional handlebar holders are included—either forward, rearward, up
or down to easily get your riding position just right.

CRUISE IN COMFORT
ELECTRONIC CRUISE CONTROL AND ONE-TOUCH 5 MPH MODE
If you’re riding a long distance, the electronic cruise control is the utmost convenience that is easily activated by pressing a button on the
right handlebar switch. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust and set cruising speed and release the throttle lever to disengage the
system easily. Pushing the same button with the throttle lever released will activate the 5 mph mode to conveniently set the enforced speed
limit in “no wake” zones.
FRONT STORAGE
Under the hood is a huge, fully sealed, class-leading 56.4 gallons of total front storage capacity, giving you plenty of room for personal items you
may want to take with you. A detachable storage bucket is also included for easier storage and access to smaller items.
PASSENGER HANDRAIL
Keep your passengers comfortable with a handrail that is easy-to-hold, shaped and positioned for comfort. It features a slim profile at the front for
easy rider movement and facilitates positive grip for ease of boarding.

ELECTRONIC RIDING MODES
The Electronic Throttle Valve (ETV) is controlled by the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and allows multiple riding modes to
