SHIP-IN SEMEN CONTRACT
SHIPPED-IN COOLED SEMEN
THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this day and month written below between Char-O-Lot Ranch, Myakka City, Florida
and______________________________________________________________________________________________ (“Mare Owner”). These parties agree as follows:

2. The Chute Fee shall be $300.00. The Chute Fee must be paid in full prior to the shipment of semen. A Visa or MasterCard number is required for Federal Express
freight to return Equitainers.
3. The chute Fee shall include the following:
a. Insemination of mare.
b. All comunications in regard to the ordering and receiving of the semen.
c. Completion of all applicable paperwork ie: Cooled Semen Transportation Certificates etc. as required by each association.
d. Paperwork required to return Equitainers in a timely manner.
4. Any additional charges will be billed monthly. Bills are to be paid in full prior to mare leaving premises unless otherwise agreed in advance by both parties. Unpaid balances
may be billed to your credit card. Additional charges include but are not limited to: Airport Courier Fee $150.00 and applicable airline freight charges.
5. Char-O-Lot Ranch shall attempt with reasonable diligence to settle mare; if however, for any reason the mare does not settle, Mare Owner will hold Char-O-Lot ranch and
manager harmless.
6. The breeding season for shipped semen begins February 1st and closes June 15th at which time all breeding will be discontinued. If the mare does not settle in the 2014 breeding
season, Char-O-Lot Ranch will honor a re-breed on the mare originally booked for a re-breed fee of $150.00, for the following year only (2015 season).
7. IF MARE LEAVES PREMISES PRIOR TO 21 DAY ULTRASOUND, RE-BREEDS WILL NOT BE HONORED.

9. Foaling Charge to have mare foal on Breeder’s premises is $300.00. (Plus $50.00 for use of Foalert System)
10. ALL BOARD AND EXPENSES ON MARE AND/OR FOAL SHALL BE PAID MONTHLY AND ARE DUE UPON RECEIPT OF INVOICE.
11. Breeder will exercise judgement consistent with recognized standards in care and supervision of mare and/or foal. Breeder assumes responsibility for arranging veterinarian
and farrier services as necessary. All veterinary expenses and all farrier expenses will be paid by Mare Owner.
12. The mare shall be in a healthy and sound breeding condition, free from infectious, contagious or transmissible disease. A current negative Coggins Test, photostat copy of
registration papers (both sides), must accompany mare. A photostat copy of completed Stallion Service contract from shipping stallion along with collection date information
and semen ordering notification requirements.
13. Char-O-Lot Ranch or representatives shall not be liable for injury, sickness or death of the mare and/or her foal, regardless of how it may occur. This agreement constitutes
the entire agreement between the parties; any amendment to or modifications of the terms of this agreement must be in writing.
Should it be necessary for Stallion Owner to employ an attorney to enforce any of the terms of this agreement, including collection of money owed, Mare Owner shall
reasonable attorney’s fees, costs of suits, and other expenses reasonably related to enforcing this agreement.
