December 2012
Graduation
Graduation ceremonies
were held on Thursday,
December 20, 2012 at
Champion Forest Baptist
Church. The graduation
candidates were joined by
family and friends for the
festive and happy occasion.
After all of the graduates processed in, Johny
Canas led the audience in
the Pledge of Allegiance.
Ingrid Lopez then performed a beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled
Banner. John Eakins
treated the crowd with a
stirring prayer. The crowd
also enjoyed the dazzling
duo, Ingrid Lopez and Victoria Ramirez. The two
cousins’ voices harmoniously combined in their performance of Amazing
Grace.
Then the big moment
arrived as each of the students’ names was announced and they were
handed their diploma.
The crowd cheered for
each student as they
marched on and off the
stage. After the students
enjoyed the time honored
tradition of tossing their
caps, the crowd had the
opportunity to cheer for
each student once again
as they processed out of
the auditorium.
Congratulations December 2012 graduates
and good luck with all
your future endeavors.

CQ Honored Veterans
ComQuest Academy
observed Veterans Day
on November 9, 2012 by
holding an innovative
program that also showcased local talents.
John Eakins acted as
Master of Ceremonies.
Devin Michael recited
the Pledge of Allegiance
and Ingrid Lopez sang
the National Anthem.
The Lopez cousins: Victoria, Nekzaly, and
Ingrid displayed their
artistic genes in decorating the stage, in singing
and acting. Victoria
drew a mural of the
Washington Monument
and sang “Amazing
Grace” with Ingrid.
Other participants were
Frankie Miranda and
Jonathan Muertter who
played a modern piece on
the guitar. Nekzaly Hidalgo, Donika
Youngblood, Anthony
Perez and Guadalupe
Carmona acted in a play
“What is a Veteran?”
Things to remember:

ComQuest has a Website!
www.ComQuestAcademy.org

All High School students need to have
a job or a regular volunteer position.
Students must work 15-20 hours a
week for full credit. Scheduled job visits happen every semester.


Students wishing to get tutorial help
after school can stay Monday through
Thursday afternoon, 1-3 P.M. There
will be no tutorials Friday.
Students CANNOT be absent more
than 4 days. If a student is absent
more than four days in one semester he
or she is in danger of losing credit for
the semester and is subject to be withdrawn from the school. Three tardies
equal one absence, so be on time to
class. If you are late you will have to
stay after school.

Students may wear jeans on Friday,
however the dress must be appropriate.

Class starts at 8 am. Promptness,
bright smiling faces and a good attitude required.

Don’t forget to pay fees. Report cards
of those students who have not paid
their fees will be held.
