How To Enter Quantity, Unit, Description And Details
Automatic Unit Prices
You need to enter a number in the Qty column to begin a line calculation.
You do not need to enter anything in the Unit column.
The printouts automatically add the currency symbols & Unit Price descriptions.

• The @ £ currency symbols are automatic.
• The Unit text (singular) and per are automatically added to Unit Price - per pot, per metre.
• If the Unit column is empty and the Qty is 2 or more, then each is added to Unit Price.
• If there is no Price, the Total column will automatically show TBA.
These editing features save a great deal of typing and checking time.
They also ensure the document is clear and legally correct.

Treatments
For Treatments enter 1 in the Qty column.
Leave the Unit column blank.
1. The Qty 1 does not Print.
Entrance Hall
To prepare existing walls and ceiling and apply two coats matt emulsion.
To prepare existing woodwork and apply one undercoat and two coats oil
eggshell to all previously painted woodwork.

2. There is no Unit Price e.g.

3. The Price is only printed in the Totals column, opposite the bottom line of text.
This treatment only applies if the Qty is 1 & the Unit column is blank.

Description For Client
The top line of each Grid is the Title line.
Enter a Grid Title In the Description For Client column.
You cannot enter Quantity, Unit, Code, Cost, Mark up or Price columns in the Title line.
In the next or lower lines, enter the product or work description.
You can type as much text as you like and the cell will expand.
Use the Enter key to start a new line within the Description cell.
The Tab key can be used to move across the Grid.
Tab/Shift to move backwards.

Details For Office
Enter all confidential information in the Details For Office column.
Details For Office will never print on any Client Estimate, Report or Invoice.
Details For Office prints on all Office Worksheets. It can print on some Reports.
Details For Office can print on Supplier Orders.
Use this column to record:
• The Supplier name. Product code numbers, dimensions & colours chosen.
• Reminders of items to check later e.g. Check fixing height.?.
The Details For Office does not print on Client Estimates.
If you leave all the other columns blank, you can keep details about items removed from a project.
This column always show in New files. To temporarily hide this column click on the top grey border.
This pop up screen will appear. Untick the Details For Office box and the column will not show.

Reference Column
The Grid screen also contains a Reference column.
Do not enter long references - 3 to 4 letters or numbers only.
Otherwise the printouts will be pushed to the right of the page.
This Ref column does not show in New files.
Once you have used the Ref column, it will open in those files.
To activate this column click on the top grey border.
This pop up screen will appear.
Tick the Ref option and the column will show to the left of Qty column.
You need to type in the reference text e.g. 1.1, 1.2 etc.
It does not have any auto-fill features.
