> Check kit contents against parts list below
> Read instructions fully before fitting guard
> Attach mounting feet to the guard using the thumbscrews - refer to illustration overleaf
> Tilt forward rear seat backs
> Pass guard into vehicle through either rear side door
> Locate the mounting feet onto the rear seat latch housings - refer to illustration overleaf
> Making sure the guard is centralised, mark the position of the slots in each mounting foot
> Remove guard from vehicle and detach the mounting feet
> Drill 4 x 8mm diameter holes (5/16”) in the centre of the marked slots

> Unscrew latch release button
> Remove trim panels from around the latch housings
> Extend the marked slots to the edge of the trim panel [craft knife/hacksaw] - refer to illustration overleaf
> Remove latch housings
> Position stiffener plates and mounting feet, with trim panel in place on housing - refer to illustration overleaf
> Attach mounting feet to stiffener plates using the screws and washers [DO NOT fully tighten]
> Slide trim panel to end of slotted holes to access latch housing mounting bolts
> Refit latch housings
> Slide trim panels into place and secure
> Remount dog guard onto mounting feet and centralise in vehicle
> Fully tighten all fixings
Vehicles 1987 to Oct 1988 on - Illustration B
> Remove latch housings
> Disconnect latch release hook at mechanism
> Position stiffener plates and mounting feet, with trim panel in place on housing - refer to illustration overleaf
> Attach mounting feet to stiffener plates using the screws and washers [DO NOT fully tighten]
> Reconnect latch release hook
> Refit latch housings
> Remount dog guard onto mounting feet and centralise in vehicle
> Fully tighten all fixings
