Students’
Voices
I chose
MSW at HKU because of its renowned
dynamic and robust learning culture. Hong Kong is
also closer to my country's culture which aids in
understanding social issues. Moreover, with Hong Kong's
advances in social advocacy for its community and the region,
my learning at HKU would enable me to contribute to the
social work profession in my homeland.
MSW programme not only gives me a
chance to be equipped with value, knowledge and
skills, but also the ability to address diversities with a
global perspective. I believe the integrative practice and
stimulating academic atmosphere here will help
me to develop problem solving skills.

I chose to study at HKU because its MSW
programme prepares students to be leaders in social
work practice and be the change agents in family,
community, organization, and society. I have confidence that
the innovative curriculum with the cutting-edge policy and
practice research conducted by the professional instructors
and the international learning experience, i.e. the
overseas placement through which I had a chance to
do my summer placement in USA, tremendously
endorse my education experience.
I enjoy the liberal and
innovative learning culture in
MSW at HKU. In the programme, I
