Student Instructions for Logging in to MOODLE
How do I get to the MOODLE login screen?
There are two ways to get to MOODLE:
1. Go to our main college website at http://www.jacksonville­college.edu. You will see a
MOODLE login form near the top left side of the page. You may enter your MOODLE
username and password here. Click the “Login” button.
2. Go to http://moodle.jacksonville­college.edu enter your MOODLE username and
password here. Click the “Login” button.
What is my MOODLE username and password?
MOODLE uses the same username and password that you use for EMPOWER. If you have not
changed your EMPOWER password, your user username and password will have the following
pattern:
Username:
[first 6 letters of last name][first letter of first name][two digit day of birth]
­NOTE: Last names of fewer than 6 letters will just be the complete last name
Password:
[last 4 digits of social security number][4 digit birth year]
­NOTE: Those without a social security number will enter birth year
Examples:
Fred Thompson born 01/22/1990 with social security ending in 2234:
Username: thompsf22 Password: 22341990
Joshua Day born 10/07/1993 with no social security number:
Username: dayj07 Password: 1993
