Degree Objective - The Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree program is offered at the Medical Career Institute
(MCI) School of Health Sciences of ECPI. The program serves the community and our society by meeting the need
for increased numbers of highly skilled and knowledgeable nursing professionals. Program emphasis is on
professional development in communication, critical thinking, community health, research, and leadership. Advanced
standing credits are awarded for past nursing course work. The program is delivered in a blended format with a
combination of online and on campus class sessions.

4) The BSN program is for registered nurses who have an associate degree or diploma in nursing from an NLNAC-accredited program.
5.) All applicants must hold a valid, unencumbered Virginia RN license, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher from all previous colleges,
and submit a current professional resume showing a minimum of 1000 worked hours as an RN in the past 2 years.
6) Applicants will attend a personal interview with the BSN program director, or designee, before acceptance to the program.
7) Transfer of credit: Transfer of college credit follows ECPI Catalog Requirements.
8) Transfer and Advanced Standing Limitations follow the ECPI Catalog Requirements.
