Get a colored piece of construction paper. Fold it in half. 2. Use the 6 quadrilateral shapes that we have been talking about in class (square, rectangle, trapezoid and/or isosceles trapezoid, rhombus, parallelogram, and kite) to make a Christmas design on the outside of your card. You must use each shape at least once. 3. The shapes used must be cut out of colored or white paper and then glued to your card. You may not draw the shapes on the card. 4. The shapes used can be of any size you wish. 5. You may NOT use other shapes – like circles or triangles! 6. On the inside of the Christmas card, you must write a Christmas message, or…(see #7) 7. For extra credit, you can write a Christmas Geometry Song that will go on the inside of your card. The Christmas Geometry song should go along with a traditional Christmas song. (For example, you might decide to write a geometry song to the tune of Frosty the Snowman!) 8. Make the inside of your card neat! Either write your Christmas message neatly, or type it on a piece of paper and then cut and glue that piece of paper inside the card. 9. This project is worth 20 points, extra credit will be worth up to 5 extra points. 10. This project is due on December 10th, 2012. Late projects will lose 5 points per day.
