PProtective Treatments
Durable and beautiful though they are, over time unprotected
concrete, brick and stone can be visibly stained and decayed by
simple rain.
Rainwater soaks into masonry. It dissolves natural salts that
recrystallize when the surface dries. The salts build up in the
masonry pores from repeated wet/dry cycles. In cold weather,
water freezes and expands inside the masonry pores. At first,
the cracks and fractures from wet/dry
and freeze/thaw cycles are microscopic.
They don’t stay that way.
Combined with other natural forces,
such as extreme temperatures and
biological growth, this progressive decay
can quickly turn an expensive masonry
investment into an eyesore and liability.
Protective treatments for pavers
Water invasion and salt attack, spilled food and drink, traffic,
weed-growth and joint erosion are problems that degrade the value
and beauty of any paver installation — large or small, public or
private.

out water, you also stop the corrosive
attack of water-carried deicing salts
on rebar. Sure Klean® Weather Seal
products are available in water-based
and solvent-free formulations, as well
as water-dilutable concentrates. Service
life? Usually between 10 and 15 years.
Rapid removal is the key to stopping graffiti. Defacer

Water & oil repellents
Water isn’t the only enemy. Protect valuable interior and exterior

Air & Moisture
Barriers
Given the smallest opening, air and water can get through

PROSOCO R-GUARD™ targets uncontrolled air movement
in buildings – movement that wastes up to 40 percent of a
building’s heating and cooling costs, according to the U.S.
Department of Energy.* It seals sheathing termination points

against water intrusion, as well as drafts. Up to 90 percent
of all water intrusion problems come from areas like these,
