The database covers approximately 5,400 biomedical journals published in the United States and worldwide. Includes citations and abstracts to articles in medicine, nursing, dentistry, public health and the preclinical sciences (including genetics, immunology, molecular biology, microbiology, etc.). The Filters feature appears on the search results screen running down the left hand side and allows you to filter your results by date of publication, language, species, gender, etc. Coverage: 1948–present. Cochrane Library - The Cochrane Library is a collection of six databases that contain high-quality, independent evidence to inform healthcare decision-making: Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, Central Register of Controlled Trials, Methodology Register, Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effects, Health Technology Assessment Database, and the NHS Economic Evaluation Database, plus information on the 81 groups in the Cochrane Collaboration. MICROMEDEX includes the full-text of the PDR, Red Book, Index Nominum, Martindale’s, and many others. It also includes information about alternative therapies, patient handouts, and dosing tools. mobileMicromedex also is available for smartphones. DynaMed - DynaMed is a point-of-care clinical reference tool with clinically-organized summaries for nearly 3,200 topics. DynaMed is updated daily and monitors the content of over 500 medical journals and systematic evidence review databases. Each publication is thoroughly reviewed, and each article is evaluated for clinical relevance and scientific validity. The new evidence is then integrated with existing content, and overall conclusions are changed as appropriate representing a synthesis of the best available evidence. A mobile application is available for iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry, Microsoft Mobile and Palm. Visual Dx lets clinicians visually validate a diagnosis, look up steps for management and patient care, or build a differential diagnosis for puzzling presentations from their iPhone or iPod Touch.
