HSS2K Third Writing Assignment Equiano in the context of Locke Olaudah Equiano wrote The Interesting Narrative in England a century after John Locke wrote the Second Treatise. For this paper, please find examples in Equiano’s narrative of post-Lockean notions of life, liberty, and property. You should bear in mind the same two of the three course foci that you considered in Essay #2: ??What it means to be an individual, a citizen, or a ruler; and ??The relation of European society to its "others." However, note that the focus of Essay #3 is not on these foci specifically. They should inform your thoughts, help provide context to your writing, but your essay should focus on answering the specific question in the top paragraph above. As with Essays #1&2, this essay should be no shorter than six (6) full pages and no longer than seven (7) full pages. Use Microsoft Word, 12 point, times new roman font, and one–inch margins on all four sides. Deadline: April 30, 11:59 p.m. Submit all material as an e-mail attachment to professor.golland@gmail.com. As before, one letter grade will be taken off for each page short or long (i.e. fewer than six complete pages or greater than seven) and for each day late (starting at exactly 12:00 a.m. the night of the due date). Please consider speaking with Joanna or anyone else on the staff at the Writing Center, and asking them to look at rough drafts in advance of the due date. Please note, however, that the earlier you show them drafts, the greater the chance that they will be able to respond effectively with enough time for you to follow up on their suggestions before the final draft is due.
