Teaching and Learning Experience Module Leader: Abimbola ALAO Modes of delivery: Lectures, Workshops Learning Outcomes On successful completion of this module students will be expected at threshold level to: 1. understand the basic rules of good practice for Creative Writing (i.e. critical reading, redrafting); 2. identify a wide variety of forms and styles of prose narration; 3. demonstrate a greater understanding of both fiction and non-fiction prose in both the creative and critical aspects of coursework; 4. demonstrate an understanding of journalistic and academic writing in terms of style, language and presentation which includes knowledge of how to reference work; 5. practice the critique and redrafting process as both writer and critic; 6. have developed a set of goals for the improvement of their own prose writing based on both the creative and critical aspects of the portfolio.
