Staying Revived!
By: Richard Crisco
Now what?
Hosea 6:1 "Come, let us return to the LORD. He has
torn us to pieces BUT he will heal us; he has injured us
BUT he will bind up our wounds. 2 After two days he
will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that
we may live in his presence.
16 Fundamental Truths
1. The Scriptures Inspired
The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments,
are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of
God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith
and conduct.
2Ki 5:19 "Go in peace," Elisha said. After Naaman
had traveled some distance, 20 Gehazi, the servant of
Elisha the man of God, said to himself, "My master was
too easy on Naaman, this Aramean, by not accepting
from him what he brought. As surely as the LORD
lives, I will run after him and get something from him."
21 So Gehazi hurried after Naaman. When Naaman
saw him running toward him, he got down from the
chariot to meet him. "Is everything all right?" he
asked. 22 "Everything is all right," Gehazi answered.
"My master sent me to say, 'Two young men from the
company of the prophets have just come to me from
the hill country of Ephraim. Please give them a talent
of silver and two sets of clothing.'"

Hosea 6:1 "Come, let us return to the LORD. He has
torn us to pieces BUT he will heal us; he has injured us
BUT he will bind up our wounds. 2 After two days he
will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that
we may live in his presence. 3 Let us acknowledge the
LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely
as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like
the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the
earth."
Now what?
Exo 34:6 And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming,
"The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and
gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and
faithfulness, 7 maintaining love to thousands, and
forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin.
Staying Revived! What is Revival?
Psa. 51:1 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your
unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot
out my transgressions. 2 Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I know my
transgressions, and my sin is always before me. 4
Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is
evil in your sight, so that you are proved right when you
speak and justified when you judge. 5 Surely I was
sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother
conceived me. 6 Surely you desire truth in the inner
parts; you teach me wisdom in the inmost place. 7
Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me,
and I will be whiter than snow. 8 Let me hear joy and

gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice. 9 Hide
your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. 10
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a
steadfast spirit within me. 11 Do not cast me from your
presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore
to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing
spirit, to sustain me. 13 Then I will teach transgressors
your ways, and sinners will turn back to you.
Revival must be a personal, not just a corporate
experience! (26 personal pronounce used in 13 ver.)
1. Integrity
“Surely you desire truth in the inner parts; you teach
me wisdom in the inmost place” (Psa. 52:6).
Whenever the Glory of the Lord appears in our
churches He exposes our sinful conditions!
2. Intimacy
“Restore to me the joy of your salvation”
(Psa. 51:12).
To many, Revival was another Fad that the church
went through. Revival to them was another Church
Growth Plan; thus many made the dreadful mistake
of seeking Revival instead of seeking the Reviver!!!!
Staying Revived requires that we give constant
attention (with complete reliance upon Holy Spirit) to
these “I’s of Revival”: Integrity, Intimacy, & Impact!
We should not just Maintain but also Grow in HIM!
Isa 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept
upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a
little, there a little." 11 For with stammering lips and
another tongue he will speak to this people, 12 To
whom He said, "This is the rest with which you may
cause the weary to rest," and, "This is the refreshing";
yet they would not hear.
Exo 23:29 "I will not drive them out from before you in
one year, lest the land become desolate and the beast of
the field become too numerous for you. 30 "Little by
little I will drive them out from before you, until you
have increased, and you inherit the land.
2Cor 3:15 Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil
covers their hearts. 16 But whenever anyone turns to
the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is
the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is
freedom. 18 And we, who with unveiled faces all
reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his
likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from
the Lord, who is the Spirit.
3. Impact
“Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and
sinners will turn back to you” (Psa. 51:13)
