Application for Admission
Application Instructions
GENERAL
OVERVIEW
Prior to beginning your application, you are required to read all of the instructions listed
throughout these pages. These instructions are intended to help you navigate through the
key sections of this application. However, be sure to review all sections of the application
and complete all required fields.
Additional instructions may be provided throughout the application via pop-ups. To ensure that you receive this
important information, please disable any pop-up blocker programs before beginning your application. We strongly
recommend that you use the latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer to ensure smooth processing of your
application.
Before you begin the online application, please review our University Graduate Application requirements on our
Graduate Admissions Website. Individual programs may have more restrictive application requirements. Please visit the
Graduate Programs section of the Graduate Catalog for information regarding additional requirements and application
deadlines. Applicants are fully responsible for completing and submitting their applications and supporting documents
online by the stated deadline.
On your application, fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are required for all applicants. Other fields may be required
based on your answers to previous questions. Remember to click the “Save” or “Save and Continue” button at the end
of each page before moving to the next section, or your answers will not be saved.
On the right navigation of your application, you will see the “Application Status” section. You can use this section to
review your application for completeness as you apply and before you submit your application. After completing all
sections, you will be able to submit and pay for your application.
Once your application has been submitted and paid for, you will not be able to make any changes or upload any
additional supporting documents. If you find a need to make a change, please contact our office at
gradadmissions@ucf.edu immediately. Once processed by the admissions office, no changes can be made and a new
application and fee will be required.
Student records submitted to the university become the property of the university and cannot be returned to or copied
for the student or released to a third party. Student records are digitally scanned.
The UCF College of Graduate Studies communicates with applicants/students by email only. Please add
gradadmissions@ucf.edu to your address list (or “Safe List”) to receive important communications regarding your
application.

status, please visit the International Services Center’s (ISC) website.
ACADEMIC
RECORD
Make sure to list your complete educational history in this section, listing your most
recent Baccalaureate education first, followed by each of the other post-secondary
institutions attended. Please make sure to provide the dates you attended the institution,
and the date you received your degree (if applicable).
For information on transcript requirements for your program, please visit the Graduate Programs section of the
Graduate Catalog. All transcripts submitted must be official (in a sealed envelope). Applicants that have completed
their education outside of the U.S. have additional transcript requirements. Please refer to the International
Applicants section of the Application Instructions.
Admission decisions can be made on preliminary transcripts while a degree is in progress. Applicants are responsible
for requesting one official, sealed transcript from each post-secondary institution attended, regardless of whether or
not a degree was awarded. Do not send transcripts to the department to which you are applying; doing so will delay
the processing of your application.
UCF students applying to graduate programs are not required to request transcripts of their UCF course work; they
will be printed internally by the College of Graduate Studies. Please remember to include your dates of attendance in
this section.
Please deliver/mail your official, sealed transcripts to the College of Graduate Studies.
