Course description Organizational Culture 2012 Helping organizations to find the missing piece in their business Introduction to the Hofstede Centre Established in 2012, the Hofstede Centre is a sister organisation of itim international culture & management consultants. In 1985 itim international was founded to create cultural competence for global organisations and their staffs throughout the world. Our approach is based on extensive research into national and organisational values and practices worldwide, at the core of which lies the work of world-wide renowned Professor Geert Hofstede. With the endorsement of Professor Geert Hofstede, the doors of the Hofstede Centre opened at the beginning of 2012. We reach out to all of those who want to get more insight into professor Hofstede’s research. The Hofstede Centre’s main goal is to offer high quality education in the field of culture and management based on academic research and practical experience. Educational focus The Hofstede model on strategy, culture and change provides consultants and end-users with knowledge and a toolset that "enables you to use culture as a practical tool of management". It places topics such as employee engagement and employee satisfaction in a broader perspective of an organization´s overall business strategy. It provides a framework into which all organizational and personal development activities are linked together to optimize concerted action. Too often change initiatives are limited to one particular objective, such as realization of more open communication, without being able to assess what the impact of more open communication will have on realization of all other objectives. Certification The Hofstede Centre courses result in two certificates. These are: Accredited lecturer (Intercultural management and Organizational Culture) Accredited practioner (Organizational Culture) Furthermore The Hofstede Centre functions as the Certification Agency for Itim International licensees.
