M y A c a d e m y S coo p 2 -1 Jul. 30 ~Wikipedia~ Moricchi ~Chatatemushi~ Vol. 9 I.T Today, the Internet is used by a lot of people in the world. Thanks for the Internet, we can search for many things, watch movies and express our own opinions to the world. Especially, when we search for something, we use “Wikipedia”. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia of the Internet. We can search for profiles of many famous people and events in history and the meaning of the words by Wikipedia. It was created in 2001 in America and now it is used in 287 languages. Many people use it because it can help us to find out easily what we need. But it has bad points. All the people who use the Internet are free to change the words in Wikipedia. So of course, there are some wrong information. This problem is not only from Wikipedia but also from all the information on the Internet. It is important that we should tell right information from wrong information. Do you know Chatatemushi? Chatatemushi is a very small insect. They are hiding in our house and they lay two eggs in a day. So they propagate very quickly. Their droppings and carcasses cause our allergy. If we inhale a lot of their droppings or carcasses, we may get asthma. We have one very easy way to exterminate Chatatemushi. It is to be clean! They usually live in dust because they eat dust. So if we clean our house completely, we can exterminate them. I am going to clean my room to exterminate them. But Chatatemushi will certainly survive. So I clean my room again and again until I can exterminate them completely. My fight against Chatatemushi will continue for a while. ~Dream country~ I use a mechanical pencil every day. Without it, I could not write letters and pictures. The mechanical pencils were imported for the first time in 1877 to Japan. And a mechanical pencil made in Japan has begun to be sold in 1915. But, it did not generally spread because it was so expensive, and moreover, the thickness of the lead was 1mm. A Japanese company put on sale the knock type mechanical pencil which was similar to the present mechanical pencil in 1960. Two years later, the mechanical pencil whose lead was 0.5mm in diameter was developed. The development impressed a lot of people. The lead of 0.5mm was very good to write kanji with a great number of strokes. It was so expensive that children could not buy it. A mechanical pencil of 100yen was put on sale and made a great hit in the early 1980s. More people have begun to use it. The mechanical pencil took root in our life in this way. mugicha Disneyland was created by Walt Disney in 1955 in California. Walt Disney was born in 1901. Walt Disney was very much gifted in art. Mickey Mouse was created by him and his brother in 1928. Mickey Mouse became very popular soon and he came to be loved by people around the world. Before he knew it, Mickey was a very important existence for Walt Disney. Walt Disney noticed that an amusement park is the place where children can't enjoy themselves with their parents. So he thought he should create the amusement park that children and their parents can enjoy together. This gave him the chance to create Disneyland. „A wise remark of Walt Disney‟ is as followes. “Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world. Fun and wonder are the important elements, in addition to quality in production and performances, which are most responsible for the success of Disney productions”. I was moved by what he says here. Disneyland gives us dreams and hopes. I like Disneyland very much. ~Directors~ Yuki Saito Hideya Komine Yuki Kogawara Thank you for your reading! ~Mechanical pencil~ ~I’m sorry~ t.t.crow S.H At first, I‟m sorry to hand in my article so late. Today, I‟m going to talk about English. I like English very much because I think it is cool to speak English. People may decide to study English for various reasons. One is to communicate with foreigners. Another is that we need to read the latest news. In my case, I want to be effective on the international stage. I want to develop my English skills during the summer vacation. So, I‟ll study vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and idioms. My motto is “Rome was not built in a day.”
