Minor in Psychology
The minor in Psychology requires 18 hours of Psychology coursework as shown below. At least 6 hours of the
total 18 hours must be at the 3000 level. Only courses listed on this minor check sheet may be counted toward
the Psychology minor.
Research Methods/Critical Thinking Skills

General Psychology Lecture (PSYC 1101) with a C or better, within two attempts.
General Psychology lab is NOT included as part of the minor.
A science with a lab outside Psychology must be completed, with a grade of C or better in both
to complete the Psychology minor. The Science grade is not included in the Psychology GPA.

Notes for the Minor
A minimum of 6 hours of coursework at the 3000 level is required for the minor.
Completion of a science course with a lab, outside of Psychology, eligible to earn General Education
Natural Science credit is required to declared the minor.
PSYC 3405, 3807, 3808, or 4000 level psychology courses may not be included in the Psychology minor
coursework.
A grade of C must be earned in PSYC 1101 within two attempts to continue in the minor. An attempt is
defined as: earning an A, B, C, D or F, a W (Withdrawal), using a Grade Replacement (QX), taking a course
on an audit (AU), or Pass/No Credit basis (P/N), or an Incomplete (I).
