be mailed or delivered in person. Bids will be opened at 3:30
p.m. on January 9, 2014, but will
not be considered by the Board
of Education until its monthly
meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Monday,
January 20, 2014.
2) Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier’s check or
bank money order in an amount
equal to five per cent (5%) of
the bid amount. The bid deposit
will be refunded upon the rejection of the bid.
3) The Wilson County Board of
Education reserves the right to
reject all bids
4)
Bids shall not contain any
contingencies or conditions and
the property will be sold “as
is”.5) The Wilson County Board
of Education reserves the right
to seek negotiated offers to purchase from bidders and
non-bidders.
6) Any negotiated offer or accepted sealed bid will be advertised for a raised bid within ten
days after the acceptance of a
negotiated offer or sealed bid.
7) Closing and payment of the
balance of the purchase shall
take place within forty-five (45)
days of Notice to the successful
bidder that no raised bid has
been received and the highest
bid has been accepted. No delays or extensions will be
granted and no delays for loan
approval or loan closing will be
granted.
Pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. Section 115C-518(a), the requirements of the “upset bid” process set forth in N.C. Gen. Stat.
